What is a sports towel?

A sports towel is specially designed for the training room in the gym or for use during other sports. It is often a narrow towel with a size of 30 x 140 cm, making it easy to wrap around your neck. It is also an ideal size to put over a fitness bench, for example. The sports towels that we print are made of 100% cotton, which ensures optimal absorption. A printed sports towel is available in 7 different colours. Of course, you can also choose a larger size such as a towel 50x100 or a bath towel 70x140 .

Printing a sports towel is possible with a flex or sublimation technique. We use a flex foil to print the white band (polyester) in the sports towel. This PU (polyurethane) flex has a special composition with an intermediate layer, which ensures a blockout function. This keeps the print bright in color. The name or text can be in multiple colors and is pressed onto the band using a heat press. This flex foil is washable up to 60 degrees.

Sublimation printing is a technique that uses heat-sensitive ink. The print is pressed onto the sublimation towel using a heat press. The ink becomes gaseous due to the effect of the heat and adheres to the material (100% polyester). The ink then becomes part of the structure of the material. This prevents the images from fading or bleaching. The print will also not tear. Washing it many times is no problem at all. This technique is especially suitable for a company logo.

Often, embroidering a sports towel is considered to be the same as printing a sports towel, but that is not the case. Embroidering a sports towel is a different technique. With embroidery, you can choose from many colors of embroidery thread. In addition, every towel , hammam towel or sauna kilt can be embroidered, unlike printing, which requires a polyester band. You choose a nice towel and we embroider the desired name, text or logo. This technique offers many more possibilities in terms of color and design. If you have a company logo with multiple colors, embroidery is the best option.
